Sphericam2 Finishes Strong on Kickstarter

Sphericam2 has reached the end of its kickstarter campaign, and has gained a good amount of backing along the way. Having finished strong on $457,881 of their $150,000 target, its now time for the team to get to work on hitting that deadline. The 4k spherical camera rig, that we reported on at the beginning of its campaign, is due to be sent out to pledger’s by December this year. Jeffery Martin, renowned photographer, and brains behind the operation, has claimed that the deadline is very important to those at Sphericam, and aims to work hard to ensure its met, stating, “Now the real work begins, and it is all because of you.”

Sphericam2 also had a few stretch goals set in place and managed to reach the their second, which guarantees that “you will receive a Sphericam that is dust-proof and water-resistant (IP67)!!#” This target was reached at $360k mark and pledgers only slightly fell short of the next stretch goal.

All in all, it seems to have been an exciting kickstarter journey for the team over at Sphericam2, and we look forward to receiving our camera when they are ready to roll. In the meantime, here’s some footage captured on one of the rigs.
