Top 5 Vorpx Supported Games To Try Out!
When you think about native VR gaming, you probably think about the immense amount of immersion that comes from maneuvering your Vulture or Viper in Elite Dangerous, the feeling of gracefulness as you glide through the sun-glowing roads of California highway in Project Cars, or maybe the satisfaction that comes from outwitting your enemies in War Thunder. These are all incredible experiences in VR, but what about those AAA and indie titles that we love to play on our monitors?
Well, Vorpx, a 3D injection driver, allows us to play some of those games in VR, and we’d like to share our favorite non-native VR games. As far as technical aspects, we won’t be going in depth with optimizing settings, or how Vorpx works exactly, but will list games that either use Z-Buffer or Geometry 3d.
Disclaimer: There is a decent amount of tinkering required for each game. Settings such as; FOV, depth, head-tracking, controller options, etc. need to be personally adjusted for the perfect experience. There are optimal settings that can be applied using Vorpx Configuration , or for more detailed settings, head on over to the Vorpx forum or Youtube for tutorials and write-ups.
Without further ado, here are our
Top 5 Vorpx Supported Games!
- Skyrim & Fallout w/Tale of Two Wastelands Mod
Skyrim & Fallout have a vast amount of mods available on Nexus. Add some immersive mods and dive into an entirely new world!
- Bioshock Infinite
A game that almost works out of the box. Little tweaking required to see the aesthetically pleasing Columbia first hand!
A bit of adjustments needed, but a greatly supported game. Here is an extensive review and let’s play of Dishonored by eVRdayVR.
A great multiplayer experience that is best played with friends who are also using an Oculus Rift.
- Grand Theft Auto V
The only game to make the list that uses Z-Buffer. Z-Buffer really shines here, because of how open-world GTA V is. Great for a coop experience or single player w/HUD mod. An FOV mod is also needed for the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable.
- Space Engineers
- The Talos Principle
