Voke VR Announce New Addition To Their Team

By  |

Voke VR, the company that gives users access to some of the world’s leading sports and entertainment events, have today announced that they will be expanding their team.

David Aufhauser, named as Chief Strategy and Product Officer for the California-based company, has previously spent more than 20 years leading multifunctional teams in some of the technology world’s well-established organizations, including Yahoo, AOL, Justin.TV. And, was also “instrumental in the launch of the collegiate conference’s seven linear networks.”

For those that are new to Voke VR, they are a Silicon Valley based company focused on “building the next generation of fan engagement for live sports entertainment.” To do so, they provide content to users in full stereoscopic virtual reality video, in both 180 and 360 degrees. This content is then available to be viewed either through a VR headset or on your mobile device.

Having, successfully, finished their series A round of venture funding, led by Intel Capital, Voke is now planning on expanding their team.

Aufhauser’s previous experience overseeing the creation of mobile apps, social media, and Pac-12.com, means that he could be beneficial in growing Voke VR’s stakeholder in the Virtual Reality market.

VOKE Co-Founder and CEO Sankar “Jay” Jayaram explained,

“David’s vast experience and track record for successfully bringing digital products to market will be very valuable to our team,”

“We have been developing a highly flexible platform that allows us to provide the most immersive live content experiences for fans in sports and entertainment. As we continue to build our team and add leaders like David, our product and unique experiences will continue to grow and will benefit the entire VR content community.”

“Jay is a true visionary in the world of virtual reality and that can be seen in the technology that he is creating and the team he is assembling,” Aufhauser said. “We are at the center of a paradigm shift. Just as mobile technology has touched all of our lives, VR and AR are poised to have the same kind of impact on everyone. I am very excited about the opportunity to help deliver unforgettable experiences to fans globally.”
